Mr Bean

Rowan Atkinson originally created a character called Mr Bean while he was studying for his Master's degree at Oxford University.  The television series that followed centred on Mr Bean described by Atkinson as 'A child in a grown man's body' as he solves various problems presented by everyday tasks and often causes disruption in the process.

During its original five-year run, Mr Bean met with widespread acclaim and attracted television audiences of nearly 20 million.  The series has been sold to over 200 countries, has inspired a cartoon spin off and even two feature length moves (so far) Mr Bean even appeared at the opening ceremony of the London 2012 Olympic Games.
